Rebellions, a South Korean AI chip startup, has raised $210 million in total funding, with $124 million from a recent Series B round. They aim to challenge Nvidia's dominance in the AI chip market by offering a more cost-effective alternative.

The company is collaborating with Samsung to develop their AI processor, aiming for a more affordable option compared to Nvidia's high-priced chips.

Rebellions' team includes talent from South Korea's manufacturing industry and the United States' R&D sector, giving them a unique edge in the market. They plan to use the funding to develop a next-generation AI processor for hyperscalers.

By leveraging the Korean semiconductor ecosystem, working closely with Samsung, Rebellions aims to reduce manufacturing costs and compete with Nvidia. They hope to begin mass production by 2025.
