PilotDesk: A Startup's Journey to Revolutionize AdTech Automation

On Thursday, PilotDesk, an advertising technology business that automates a significant number of the repetitive activities that are typically handled by a human, made the announcement that it had successfully raised a seed investment round of $3 million. One of the goals of the firm is to assist its customers in lowering the amount of money they spend on advertising activities.

The firm, which consists of twelve people, has stated that it intends to utilize the funds to make additional investments in its product. The goal is to make the platform capable of using artificial intelligence to provide suggestions for automation to customers and eventually to make certain decisions on their behalf.

PilotDesk was launched this year by the cofounders of SpringServe, a connected-TV ad server that was sold to Magnite, a publicly traded adtech business, for $31 million in 2021. The idea behind PilotDesk was conceived after years of studying user behavior on adtech platforms. On a daily basis, thousands of advertising operations experts log in to a variety of adtech platforms in order to build live campaigns, make adjustments to budgets and targeting, and generate reports.
