A seed round of $220 million was raised by the French artificial intelligence startup H. Once in a while, you will hear about a seed round that is worth more than ten million dollars. A seed round of funding totaling $220 million has been revealed by H, a startup firm based in Paris that was formerly known as Holistic AI. This announcement comes just a few months after the company was established.

As an artificial intelligence firm that is working on new models and has an exceptional founding team, it has been able to raise a significant amount of money in a short amount of time. During his time at Stanford University, Charles Kantor, who is now the CEO and co-founder of the firm, was a researcher.

DeepMind, the artificial intelligence startup that is owned by Google, was the prior employer of all four of the other co-founders: During his time at DeepMind, Karl Tuyls served as a research director, where he was responsible for game theory and multi-agent research. Many of DeepMind's key projects, including AlphaGo, AlphaFold, and AlphaStar, were developed with the assistance of Laurent Sifre, who served as a lead scientist at the company. In more recent times, he has also contributed to the development of Google's Gemini and Gemma artificial intelligence models. The individual who will eventually become H's head scientist, Daan Wierstra, was one of the original members of DeepMind. And last but not least, Julien Perolat was employed by DeepMind, where he worked on game theory and multi-agent research.

A number of well-known venture capital funds, a few strategic supporters, and a large list of billionaires (or their family offices) are among the investors in the startup they have formed. Eric Schmidt, Xavier Niel, Yuri Milner, Bernard Arnault (via Aglaé Ventures), and Motier Ventures (the family office of the proprietors of the Galeries Lafayette Group) are just few of the famous names that may be found on the list of billionaires.

Companies such as Accel, Bpifrance's Large Venture fund, Creandum, Elaia Partners, Eurazeo, FirstMark Capital, and Visionaries Club are among the venture capitalists who have invested in the company.
